2017 Okanagan Fest of Ale –
Charitable Grant Application

  • The Okanagan Fest of Ale Society accepts grant requests from registered not-for-profit and charitable organizations based in the Regional District of the Okanagan Similkameen to assist with capital projects, new program initiatives and equipment needs. The Okanagan Fest of Ale Board of Directors review applications received and gift available funds based on community need, sustainability, impact and measurement of projects initiative and alignment with the Societies annual community priorities. 2017 Grant applications will be accepted online June 1 - June 30, 2017 with funds awarded annually by October 31st. Only applications submitted online will be considered.
  • Please provide details of how your project meets the following criteria. Applications will be weighed according to the point value assigned in each section. Please attach any additional information as needed.
  • Please indicate how your project will aid and/or support a demonstrated community need in the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen.
  • Please indicate how you will measure the effectiveness and impact your project has on fulfilling the community need it is designed to serve.
  • Please indicate how you will develop your project to ensure it is sustainable.
  • Please indicate how and to what extent your project will create an impact in the community it is designed to serve.
  • In support of the South Okanagan-Similkameen Community Foundation’s 2015 Vital Sign Report, the FOA Board has identified AFFORDABLE HOUSING as its Community Priority. According the 2015 Vital Signs report, affordable housing and poverty are significant issues for our Region. “Housing is a very basic need and if people do not have affordable housing then all other opportunities to take part in community is impacted” 2015 Vital Signs p.23. The OFOA Board would welcome applicants who’s mandates affect positive change toward the issue of affordable housing.
